Can I track my order? Yes, you sure can track your order.
After making a purchase, you will receive an automated email containing your shipping details, a tracking number, and a link to your shipping provider. Your shipping provider depends on your location and the total cost of your order. We ship with Australia Post and FedEx.
What if my order is delayed or damaged? We are here to assist you at every stage of your order. If your parcel is delayed, we will contact the shipping provider on your behalf. We pack our Opals very well and have never had an issue with damage; however, in the unlikely event that something does happen to your Opal while in transit, please contact us immediately, keep all packaging, and take photographs of the damage. Email your concerns to iona@ionaopal.com and we will provide you with our Returns Procedure and a solution promptly.
Is my Opal insured while it’s travelling to me? Yes, most definitely! All Opals are fully insured during transit. Your opal is securely packaged, and we use various shipping carriers depending on the destination and value of the parcel. All shipments have tracking numbers and are insured for their full value. Ensure you provide accurate delivery details for smooth processing.

Orders are processed and ready for Shipping within 1-2 business days.
Domestic Shipping and Delivery Services (within Australia)

Australia Post Express Registered and Insured Shipping:
- We offer Free Express Shipping Australia wide for orders over $200.
- Flat Rate of $15 insured for orders up to the value of $200
- Depending on the service, orders can take anywhere from 3-5 working days.
- Due to postal demand, December delivery times may be longer than stated.
- We allow the use of PO Boxes.
- Tracking is provided via Australia Post.
- All deliveries require a signature.
International Shipping and Delivery Services (outside of Australia)

Australia Post Economy Registered and Insured Shipping:
- We offer Free Economy Shipping Worldwide for orders over $200.
- Flat Rate of $20 insured for orders up to the value of $200
- Depending on the service, orders can take anywhere from 7-14 working days.
- Due to postal demand, December delivery times may be longer than stated.
- We allow the use of PO Boxes.
- Tracking is provided via Australia Post.
- All deliveries require a signature.

Australia Post Express Registered and Insured Shipping:
- Flat rate of $45 AUD.
- This service generally delivers within 7-14 working days and is fully trackable.
- Due to postal demand, December delivery times may be longer than stated.
- We allow the use of PO Boxes.
- Tracking is provided via Australia Post.
- All deliveries require a signature.
NOTE for Canada Delivery (27 November 2024): Due to ongoing union strike action, Canada Post has advised all countries to temporarily stop sending items to Canada.
As a result, all services to Canada are temporarily suspended as of 27 November 2024.
Customs, Duties, and Taxes Customs and duty charges vary by country and are the buyer's responsibility. We provide suitable documentation for all international shipments. Please check with your local customs agents for specific regulations.
For example:
- USA and Canada: There is no duty on our polished gems due to the United States and Australia Free Trade Agreement. Orders over $2,000 USD require a customs declaration form.
- UK: There is no duty on our polished gems and jewellery to the UK.
- New Zealand: There is no duty on our polished gems to NZ on orders with a total value of less than $1000 NZD.
- Japan: There is no duty on our polished gems to Japan on orders less than 200,000 JPY. Customs forms may required for high value gems.
Please be aware of local customs duties and taxes that may apply. Tracking information will be provided, and we will ensure all parcels are insured and securely packaged for safe delivery.
