🇺🇸 Important Update for US Customers – New Tariffs Begin 29 August 2025
From 29 August 2025, the United States is introducing new import tariff rules that affect all commercial parcels entering the country — including those sent via Australia Post.
As a result, Australia Post has temporarily suspended most international parcel services to the US from the 26th of August 2025. Only letters and gifts valued under USD $100 (between individuals) will still be accepted — however, this exemption does not apply to purchases from businesses like ours.
What This Means for You

All orders from Iona Opal Australia are considered commercial goods, not gifts.

Our parcels will continue to include full customs documentation — including Country of Origin, Harmonised System (HS) tariff codes, and accurate declared value — as required under the new rules.

Can I Still Order from the USA?
Yes — you can still place your order. However:

Your parcel will be held safely in Australia until the suspension on US-bound parcels is lifted by Australia Post.

Once shipping resumes, additional charges will apply to cover new US tariffs and any import duties or taxes required under the updated rules.
