Meet the Maker – My Story as an Opal Specialist and Artisan Jeweller
Every piece of jewellery has a story, and so does the person behind it. My journey with opals began over 20 years ago in Coober Pedy, where I first learned the art of cutting these remarkable stones. That hands-on experience in one of Australia’s legendary opal towns shaped my appreciation for the unique beauty and challenge of working with opal.
A Lifelong Passion for Jewellery
I have always loved making jewellery, experimenting with different styles and materials over the years. In recent years, following the loss of my beautiful mum, I chose to bring my love of jewellery and opal together to honour her dream of art and colour — specialising exclusively in solid Australian opal jewellery. This vision was inspired by a desire to create pieces that truly reflect the natural splendour, individuality, and enduring beauty of Australian opals.
Building on Experience with Expertise
To support my years of practical experience, I completed the Opal Specialist Certification with the International Gem Society and became a member of the Opal Association of Australia. This formal training deepened my knowledge and commitment to ethical sourcing, quality craftsmanship, and the art of opal cutting.
Values That Shape Every Piece
Sustainability, ethical sourcing, and Australian heritage are at the heart of my work. Choosing my jewellery means supporting a small business that values integrity and the environment.
Connecting with You
I believe jewellery should tell a story—yours as well as mine. Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting local Australian craftsmanship.
